Above: Our first visit to the site of one of the American landings on D-Day 6th June 1944 - Utah beach, now the site of a fitting memorial to those brave individuals. The museum contains a vast array of artefacts from that day and the days that followed, from small items, like dollar bills, salvaged from a sunken US vessel to the B56 Marauder aircraft, lovingly restored and taking pride of place in the museum. As well as the museum it self, outside on the beach area there are a number of memorials to those who sadly gave their lifes during the conflict.
